Howdy folks! Welcome to the page dedicated to us, Rod Hull and Rolf Harris!
Prosthetic limbs and "extremety trickery" has played a large part in both our careers.

Here are some examples of our success...
Luv n hugs, Rod n Rolf xx

< Rod and Emu...friends till the end
For many years Rod Hull and his faithful companion Emu touched our lives with a glittering career mainly in children's television shows such as 'The Pink Windmill' until one evening in March 1999, tragedy struck.

Rod Hull, aged 63, fell to his death from the roof of his home in East Sussex whilst adjusting the television ariel. Rumour has it that Rod was trying to get a clearer reception for the Manchester United European football match later that evening.

I still have this tragic image of Emu still sitting on the sofa, watching a snowy television screen, wondering what the score was.

So long Rod.

Entertainer Rolf Harris said: "I worked with Rod quite a lot, we shared the same agency for many years and he came to Canada to guest on my show there. "He was a creative character, a sweet person and a very good friend. We shall all miss him."

(That was a serious tribute to Rod Hull, not to be confused with the rest of the tongue-in-cheek content of this site)
The master at work >
Here are Rod and Emu in action before a sea of adoring faces. Notice the false right arm of this prosthetic pioneer.

< That pesky Emu!
Here are Rod and Emu in one of their many appearances on the talk show, Parkinson.

Even though he seemed to laugh and enjoy the whole ordeal, Michael Parkinson actually hated Emu's guts and was once foiled in an attempt to burn the giant bird while it was chilling out backstage.

It all stems from the moment that 'Parkie' found out that it wasn't a large mischievious, flightless bird grabbing his meat and two veg, but Rod Hull's own fair hand through a puppet.

But i, for one, cannot blame Parkie one little bit, as Rod's incredibly life-like arm had me fooled throughout my whole childhood! Mr.D -Editor
How does he do it? >
Here is the great aussie master himself, Rolf Harris, performing as his age-old character, Jake the Peg.

Can you guess which leg is the false one? I'll give you a clue, it ain't the middle one (i hope)!

Remember the words? No worries, here they are...
Jake the Peg by Rolf Harris

[Chorus:]
I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Wherever I go through rain and snow
The people always let me know

There's Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With his extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle
The day that I born (oh boy) my father nearly died
He couldn't get my nappies on, how matter how he tried

'Cos I was born with an extra leg, and since that day begun
I had to learn to stand on my own three feet
Believe me that's no fun

[Chorus]

I had a dreadful childhood really, I s'pose I shouldn't moan
Each time they had a three legged race, I won it on me own

And also I got popular, when came the time for cricket
They used to roll my trousers up
And use me for the wicket

[Chorus]

I was a dreadful scholar, I found all the lessons hard
The only thing I knew for sure, was three feet make a yard

To count to ten I used me fingers, if I needed more
By getting my shoes and socks off
I could count to twenty four
I'm Jake the [stops to count]

...to twenty five

I'm Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Whatever I did they said was false
They said "quick march" I did the quick waltz

Then they shouted at me "put your best foot forward" - but which foot?
I said "it's very fine for you, you only got a choice of two"

But me, I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With the extra leg... diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Who's this cool customer? >
Well if it isn't a handsome, young, smoothfaced Rolf Harris! Lock up your daughters, dads.
